Privacy policy
Algoan (the "Company") is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information we process and to offering a consistent and compliant approach to data protection, in accordance with Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 (known as the "Data Protection Act") in its current version and EU Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such personal data (known as the "General Data Protection Regulation" or "GDPR").
Transparency in the management of personal data is a core value for Algoan.
1. Legal information
The Service, which includes the provision of a user interface (the "User Interface"), is provided by Algoan, a SAS with capital of €555,735, registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 832 872 436, whose head office is located at 10 rue de Penthièvre - 75008 Paris. Intracommunity VAT no.: FR 43832872436, represented by Michaël Diguet acting as Chairman.
2. Protection of personal data
The Company attaches the utmost importance to respecting the privacy of the user ("User") who accesses the Company's website (the "Service"), and in this sense complies with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 in its current version and the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter the "GDPR") applicable in France since May 25, 2018 with respect to the processing of personal data ("Personal Data") and the free circulation of such Personal Data.
The Company, in its capacity as data controller, collects and processes the User's Personal Data.
The Company therefore undertakes to:
- not to collect the User's Personal Data without the User's express, free and informed consent;
- not to transmit the User's Personal Data (including in their enriched and categorized forms) without the User's express, free and informed consent;
- to ensure the management of the exercise of the rights of data subjects under Title III of the RGPD (right of access, rectification, opposition, limitation, portability), and thus to serve as a designated point of contact within the meaning of Article 26 paragraph 1 of the RGPD;
- ensure that the Service is designed in such a way that it respects the principles of privacy by design and by default within the meaning of Article 25 of the RGPD;
- record specific instructions on the fate of Personal Data after the User's death, in accordance with article 40-1 of the French Data Protection Act;
- implement all technical and operational means, particularly in terms of information systems security, to guarantee the security of the User's Personal Data, pursuant to Articles 33 and 34 of the RGPD.
2.1 Collection of Personal Data
All Personal Data collected in connection with the use of the Service is collected lawfully and fairly. The Personal Data collected, stored and used are as follows:
- Information relating to the User's identity: Surname, first names, professional email address, job title, telephone number, name of employer;
- Information relating to the User's computer: IP address, geographical location, browser type and version and operating system;
- Information relating to the User's connection and browsing: source of reference, duration of visit, pages consulted and website browsing path;
- Any type of consent and/or any other personal information transmitted by the User.
In the event that the User discloses Personal Data concerning another person, it is the User's responsibility to obtain that person's consent both to be able to disclose it and to allow the Company to process it in accordance with this Policy.
2.2 Purposes of processing Personal Data
The processing of the User's Personal Data is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 in its current version and the RGPD.
The purposes of the processing carried out by the Company, in the context of the use of the Service, on the User's Personal Data are as follows:
- Manage the Company's website;
- To enable the User to benefit effectively from the various services available on the Company's website;
- Send the newsletter to the User (if subscribed);
- Respond to various requests/solicitations from the User (via the contact form);
- Carry out marketing analyses and navigation statistics;
- Fulfill the Company's legal obligations.
2.3 Recipient of Personal Data
Personal Data is only transmitted to those individuals or legal entities who are legitimately entitled to process it, i.e. :
- Company employees authorized within the limits of their functions and missions;
- the Company's subcontractors within the limits of their functions and missions;
- all entities and persons designated by regulation as well as all persons to whom you expressly authorize disclosure.
2.4 Storage of Personal data
Personal Data will be stored within the European Economic Area ("EEA") for the purposes envisaged.
2.5 Retention of Personal data
Personal Data is not retained beyond the period necessary for the purposes in question. The Personal Data of contacts is kept for a maximum of three (3) years after the last consent, and the Personal Data of simple visitors to the website is kept for a maximum of thirteen (13) months from the date of the visit to the Company's website (maximum period necessary for marketing analysis and browsing statistics).
All Personal Data collected is stored on the Company's servers within the European Union.
2.6 Right of access, rectification and omission
In accordance with the RGPD, the User has the following rights over his or her data: right of access, right of rectification, right to erasure (right to be forgotten), right of opposition, right to limitation of processing, right to portability. The User may also define directives relating to the conservation, deletion and communication of his Personal Data after his death.
To exercise his rights, the User must send a letter, enclosing a copy of his identity card, to the following address:

2.7 Confidentiality of Personal Data
The Company attaches the utmost importance to the confidentiality of Personal Data. To this end, the Company takes appropriate physical, technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of Personal Data, in particular with a view to protecting them against loss, accidental destruction, alteration and unauthorized access.
2.8 Cookies
Users are informed that when they visit the Company's website, a cookie may be automatically installed on their browser.
Cookies are small files stored temporarily on the hard disk of the User's computer by the User's browser, which are necessary for the use of the Services. Cookies do not contain any personal information and cannot be used to identify anyone. A cookie contains a unique identifier, randomly generated and therefore anonymous. Some cookies expire at the end of the User's visit, others remain.
The information contained in cookies is used to improve the User Interface. By browsing this User Interface, the User accepts cookies; however, he/she must give his/her consent to the use of certain cookies; failing acceptance, the User is informed that certain functions or pages may be denied. The User may deactivate these cookies using the settings in his/her browser software.
